Amoxil (amoxicillin) is a semisynthetic penicillin antibiotic supplied as capsules, powder for oral suspension, tablets and injection, and the dry presentations need no refrigerated cold chain.
M Care Exports supplies Amoxil (amoxicillin) and Indian-made amoxicillin lines to hospital pharmacies, MoH and hospital tender desks, and licensed importers and distributors in the GCC, Africa and the UK. If you are looking for 250 mg or 500 mg capsules, a suspension or an injection, send the strength, the pack and the destination, and we quote per destination.
Amoxicillin exporter and bulk supplier from India.
"We need a partner for amoxicillin capsules and suspension" is a typical tender-desk enquiry. M Care Exports is a merchant-exporter, so we quote against your specification and confirm which presentations your destination registers. Amoxicillin is not one line but several: hard capsules, tablets, powder for oral suspension, and powder for solution for injection or infusion. The UK 500 mg capsule SmPC we fetched lists packs of 15, 20, 21, 100, 500 and 1000 capsules (not all marketed), so a pack such as 20 capsules is a quotable line. Two sources supply the molecule. One is the Amoxil name and other regulator-registered brands. The other is Indian-made lines, for example Mox, Cipmox and Almox, supplied for destinations whose registration accepts them. The quote turns on the source, the strength and pack, the quantity, the registration route in the destination, and Incoterms. The dry products need no refrigeration, but the UK labels we fetched set storage at or below 25 degrees C, so transit temperature still matters on GCC and African lanes.

Penicillin with extended spectrum (semisynthetic beta-lactam antibiotic), ATC J01CA04, sourced and documented for export.
Amoxicillin is a semisynthetic penicillin (beta-lactam antibiotic), ATC code J01CA04. The UK 500 mg capsule SmPC (Milpharm, emc, updated April 2025) lists adults and children with acute bacterial sinusitis, acute streptococcal tonsillitis and pharyngitis, acute otitis media, community acquired pneumonia, acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, acute cystitis, acute pyelonephritis, asymptomatic bacteriuria in pregnancy, typhoid and paratyphoid fevers, dental abscess with spreading cellulitis, prosthetic joint infections, Helicobacter pylori eradication and Lyme disease, plus endocarditis prophylaxis. The US Amoxil for oral suspension label on DailyMed (updated January 2025) lists infections of the ear, nose and throat, the genitourinary tract, skin and skin structure and the lower respiratory tract, acute uncomplicated gonorrhoea only where isolates are known to be susceptible, and H. pylori therapy, and limits use to beta-lactamase-negative isolates. Drugs@FDA shows current Amoxil-named US products as capsules of 250 mg and 500 mg and for-suspension products. The 2015 EMA Article 30 referral annex lists Amoxil, Clamoxyl and associated names as capsules, tablets, dispersible tablets, suspension, sachets and injection across 12 countries. The WHO 2023 AWaRe classification lists amoxicillin in the Access group and as listed on the 23rd WHO Model List of Essential Medicines (2023).

Hospital pharmacies, licensed importers and tender desks across our export markets.
India is our origin. We do not sell into the Indian market.
Buyers are hospital pharmacists, MoH and hospital tender desks, and licensed importers and distributors in the GCC, Africa and the UK. Typical enquiries read "I'm looking for amoxicillin 500 mg capsules, 20s, for a ministry tender" or "We need a partner for amoxicillin suspension for a hospital group". M Care supplies both originator or regulator-registered brands and Indian-made lines. The Indian-made lines on our catalogue are Mox (250 mg capsules and 100 mg drops), Cipmox (250 mg and 500 mg capsules) and Almox (250 mg and 500 mg capsules), with others such as Blumox. We do not claim these are registered in any destination. Each destination has its own route, for example the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) in the UAE, NAFDAC in Nigeria and the MHRA in the UK, and we align the offer with it before quoting. Whether a given line is accepted depends on the regulator, and M Care Exports confirms it per enquiry.
GCC registration routes
Supply against MoH registration held by your local licensed importer, or via the GCC central registration pathway.
UK unlicensed routes
Where no UK licence exists, the MHRA Specials and named-patient import routes cover clinically justified demand.
Tender desks
Bid-pack documentation assembled to the tender's specification, from CoPP to batch records.
Dossier support
CTD documentation from the sourcing manufacturer, compiled for your regulator's format.
What the dispensing pharmacist checks on amoxicillin.
Specify the form before the strength, because the labels differ by form. The UK capsule SmPC says to swallow capsules with water without opening them, that capsules are not suitable for patients who cannot swallow them, and that oral presentations exist for those patients. It states that absorption is unimpaired by food, and it doses adults and children of 40 kg or more on the same table. For renal impairment the UK SmPC gives, for adults and children of 40 kg or more, a maximum of 500 mg twice daily at a GFR of 10 to 30 mL/min and a maximum of 500 mg a day below 10 mL/min. The US label gives 500 mg or 250 mg every 12 hours at 10 to 30 mL/min, every 24 hours below 10, and bars the 875 mg dose below 30. Key warnings are hypersensitivity, antibiotic-associated colitis (UK) or Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea (US), and rash with infectious mononucleosis, where the UK SmPC says to avoid amoxicillin if mononucleosis is suspected. Reconstituted suspension shelf life is set by each holder's label, not by the molecule: 14 days at 2 to 8 degrees C on one UK sugar-free label and 7 days on another. Check the label of the exact line you are buying.
The documentation pack a regulator actually asks for.
Capsules and the dry powder for suspension need no refrigeration, but they are temperature-limited. The UK capsule SmPC says do not store above 25 degrees C, store in the original package, with a shelf life of 3 years in containers and 2 years in blister strips. The US suspension label says store the dry powder at 20 to 25 degrees C and discard reconstituted suspension after 14 days, with refrigeration preferable but not required. Two UK sugar-free suspension labels differ: one gives 24 months dry and 14 days reconstituted, the other 3 years dry and 7 days reconstituted, both refrigerated at 2 to 8 degrees C after reconstitution. The UK 500 mg injection SmPC (emc) lists a 3-year shelf life and storage below 25 degrees C. We state the source, the line and the shelf life at dispatch before quoting. M Care documentation covers batch certificates of analysis, export documents and destination-aligned dossier support where the regulator asks for it. Amoxil is a brand name held by different companies in different countries, so we confirm which label and which holder apply to your destination before quoting. We make no claim of WHO-GMP or WHO prequalification for M Care itself, and the WHO-GMP sourced status of any Indian line is confirmed per line.

Amoxicillin supply, the specific questions.
What decides the price of Amoxil 500 mg, and what pack sizes are quoted?
We do not publish prices. The landed cost for an importer depends on whether you want the Amoxil name or an Indian-made line, the strength and form, the pack, the quantity, the registration route in your destination and Incoterms. Dry capsules need no refrigerated cold chain, though the UK label limits storage to 25 degrees C, which shapes the freight lane. The UK 500 mg capsule SmPC we fetched lists packs of 15, 20, 21, 100, 500 and 1000 capsules, so a 20-capsule pack is a normal line, though the SmPC notes not every pack is marketed. M Care Exports quotes per destination once you send the strength, pack, volume and country.
What strengths does Amoxil suspension come in, and how long does it keep once made up?
The EMA Article 30 referral annex lists Amoxil-named powder for oral suspension at 250 mg/5 mL, 500 mg/5 mL and 125 mg/1.25 mL (paediatric), and Clamoxyl-named suspension at 125 mg/5 mL, 250 mg/5 mL and 500 mg/5 mL. The US Drugs@FDA record lists Amoxil for suspension at 125 mg/5 mL, 250 mg/5 mL and 400 mg/5 mL as current. The US label says discard any unused reconstituted suspension after 14 days, with refrigeration preferable but not required. One UK label gives 14 days at 2 to 8 degrees C and another gives 7 days, so shelf life follows the specific holder's label. Confirm the line before ordering.
What is Amoxil syrup used for?
Amoxil syrup is the oral suspension form of amoxicillin; the EMA annex lists Amoxil Syrup 250 mg/5 mL in Malta as a powder for oral suspension. The UK amoxicillin suspension SmPCs we fetched list acute bacterial sinusitis, acute streptococcal tonsillitis and pharyngitis, acute otitis media, community acquired pneumonia, acute cystitis, acute pyelonephritis, typhoid and paratyphoid fever, dental abscess with spreading cellulitis, Helicobacter pylori eradication and Lyme disease, among others. The US label limits use to susceptible, beta-lactamase-negative isolates in infections of the ear, nose and throat, genitourinary tract, skin and lower respiratory tract. It is contraindicated after a serious hypersensitivity reaction to amoxicillin or other beta-lactams. Dosing is the prescriber's decision and follows the label.
Is there an Amoxil 1000 mg product?
Not as a capsule in the labels we fetched: the UK capsule SmPC covers 500 mg and Drugs@FDA lists Amoxil capsules at 250 mg and 500 mg. The EMA Article 30 referral annex lists Amoxil 1 g dispersible tablets, Amoxil 1 g vials for injection and Amoxil 3 g sachets in the EU, and Clamoxyl 1 g tablets in Spain. The US Amoxil-named tablets in Drugs@FDA are 500 mg and 875 mg, both discontinued in that record. The UK capsule SmPC allows doses of 750 mg to 1 g in several indications. Which 1 g presentation your destination accepts is a registration question, and M Care Exports confirms it per enquiry.
Who holds Amoxil, and what does Amoxil Beecham mean?
The annex of the 2015 EMA Article 30 referral lists GlaxoSmithKline companies as holders of Amoxil and Clamoxyl in several countries. It lists Beecham Group plc, Brentford, as holder for some Amoxil products, for example in Malta, Lithuania and the UK, and SmithKline Beecham Limited in Cyprus, so the Beecham name appears alongside Amoxil in that listing. In the US, Drugs@FDA lists the current Amoxil products under US Antibiotics, while the GlaxoSmithKline Amoxil entries are marked discontinued. The holder therefore depends on the country, and M Care confirms the current holder per destination.
Is amoxicillin available as a generic, and how does it differ from co-amoxiclav?
Yes. In the UK, the SmPCs we fetched come from several holders other than the Amoxil name, and in the US Drugs@FDA lists amoxicillin from several companies under abbreviated (generic) applications. Drugs@FDA shows the current Amoxil-named US capsules and most suspension strengths under abbreviated applications too, with the 400 mg/5 mL suspension under an NDA. M Care also supplies Indian-made lines such as Mox, Cipmox and Almox, which we do not describe as registered anywhere. Co-amoxiclav adds clavulanic acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, to amoxicillin, and the two are different products; see the amoxicillin-clavulanate page. We do not recommend one over the other. WHO lists both in the Access group.
