Is a trade account a credit account?
Not by default. Opening a trade account establishes you as a recognised buyer with a named account manager, agreed documentation and a faster quote-to-order path. Credit terms are a separate, relationship-based conversation: they are discussed once we know your market, order pattern and the references behind the account, and are never a precondition for getting started.
Do I need an import or drug licence to open one?
It helps but it is not required to apply. Many buyers open an account while their import registration is still in progress. If you already hold an import licence, drug-importer licence or IEC number, add it in the regulatory section and we can move faster; if you do not, tell us your market and we will set out what your regulator expects of the importer of record, which in every case is your own licensed local entity, not M Care.
