Creon (pancreatin) is a porcine pancreatic enzyme capsule for exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, dosed by lipase units and stored at room temperature with no cold chain.
M Care Exports supplies Creon (pancreatin) to hospital pharmacies, gastroenterology and cystic fibrosis units, importers and tender desks in the GCC, Africa and the UK. If you are looking for Creon 10000 or Creon 25000 capsules, or the US-labelled strengths, send the destination, the strength and the quantity, and we quote per destination.
Pancreatin exporter and bulk supplier from India.
"We need a partner for Creon capsules" is a typical enquiry from a hospital pharmacy or a tender desk. M Care is a merchant-exporter, so we quote against your specification and confirm which version your destination accepts. The first thing to settle is the strength system, because the labels differ. The UK emc SmPCs from Viatris name Creon 10000 (10,000 PhEur units of lipase) and Creon 25000 (25,000 PhEur units), plus Creon Micro granules. The US label from AbbVie lists five delayed-release strengths from 3,000 to 36,000 USP units of lipase. The two labels use different unit names and different strength ranges, so a tender line written in one system must be matched carefully to the right product. Creon is a room-temperature product, so the quote turns on strength, pack, quantity, the registration or import route in the destination and Incoterms.

Pancreatic enzyme replacement (lipase, protease and amylase) for exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, sourced and documented for export.
Creon is a pancreatic enzyme preparation of lipase, amylase and protease from porcine pancreas. The UK SmPCs (Viatris Products Limited, as pancreatin) give the indication as treatment of pancreatic exocrine insufficiency. Creon 10000 holds 10,000 PhEur units of lipase, 8,000 of amylase and 600 of protease; Creon 25000 holds 300 mg pancreatin with 25,000, 18,000 and 1,000 units. The 10000 SmPC lists containers of 100, 250 or 300 capsules and the 25000 SmPC a container of 100. Creon Micro is a gastro-resistant granule of 5,000 lipase units per 100 mg measure, in a 20 g bottle. The US label (AbbVie Inc., as pancrelipase, label revised February 2024) covers exocrine pancreatic insufficiency in adult and paediatric patients, in delayed-release capsules of 3,000, 6,000, 12,000, 24,000 and 36,000 USP lipase units. Both labels express strength in lipase units and both warn of fibrosing colonopathy.

Hospital pharmacies, licensed importers and tender desks across our export markets.
India is our origin. We do not sell into the Indian market.
Buyers are hospital pharmacists in gastroenterology, pancreatic surgery and cystic fibrosis services, MoH and hospital tender desks, and licensed importers and distributors in the GCC, Africa and the UK. Typical enquiries read "I'm looking for Creon 25000 capsules for a hospital pharmacy" or "We need a partner for pancreatic enzymes for a tender". M Care supplies both originator or regulator-registered brands and Indian-made lines for destinations whose registration accepts them. Examples from our own catalogue are Creon 300 mg and 400 mg pancreatin capsules (Indian pack) and Panlipase 150 mg pancreatin capsules. We do not claim these Indian-made lines are registered in any destination. Each market has its own route, for example the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) in the UAE, NAFDAC in Nigeria and the MHRA in the UK, and M Care Exports confirms the route per enquiry before quoting.
GCC registration routes
Supply against MoH registration held by your local licensed importer, or via the GCC central registration pathway.
UK unlicensed routes
Where no UK licence exists, the MHRA Specials and named-patient import routes cover clinically justified demand.
Tender desks
Bid-pack documentation assembled to the tender's specification, from CoPP to batch records.
Dossier support
CTD documentation from the sourcing manufacturer, compiled for your regulator's format.
What the dispensing pharmacist checks on pancreatin.
The US label tells you to dose by lipase units. It starts adults with chronic pancreatitis or pancreatectomy at 500 to 1,000 lipase units/kg/meal and patients from 4 years at 500 units/kg/meal. Further investigation is advised above 2,500 units/kg/meal, 10,000 units/kg/day or 4,000 units per gram of fat a day. Snacks take about half the meal dose. The UK SmPC starts with one or two capsules during or just after each meal, increased slowly, and warns about intake above 10,000 lipase units/kg/day. Administration matters for the stock you order. The US label says swallow capsules whole, never crush or chew them or their contents, and if swallowing is hard, sprinkle the contents on acidic soft food of pH 4.5 or lower. The UK SmPC allows opening the capsule and taking the granules with acidic fluid or soft food, not chewed, and not stored once mixed. Both labels warn of fibrosing colonopathy, reported mainly in cystic fibrosis at high doses. The US label states Creon is sourced from swine pancreatic tissue used for food consumption.
The documentation pack a regulator actually asks for.
Creon needs no cold chain. The US label says store at 15 to 25 °C, protected from moisture, and permits excursions between 25 and 40 °C for up to 30 days. The UK SmPCs say do not store above 25 °C, with a 2-year shelf life, and use within 6 months once the container is opened, kept tightly closed. Creon Micro is stated as 2 years unopened and 12 weeks after first opening. Because the storage statements come from labels that differ, we ship against the specification of the version you order and flag the storage statement in the quote. Product origin is porcine, as the labels state; we make no religious-acceptability claim. M Care documentation covers batch certificates of analysis and export documents, with dossier support where the regulator asks. We state the source and status of each line before quoting, and claim nothing for M Care beyond merchant-exporter documentation.

Pancreatin supply, the specific questions.
What decides the Creon 10000 price in the UAE or the Creon price in Nigeria?
We do not publish prices. For an importer the landed cost depends on whether the line is the originator or another version, the strength and pack, the quantity, the destination's registration route, freight and Incoterms. Creon is a room-temperature product, so cold-chain packing is not a cost driver. M Care Exports quotes per destination once you send the strength, volume and country.
What is Creon 25000 and how does it differ from Creon 10000?
Both are Viatris capsules in the UK, listed on emc for pancreatic exocrine insufficiency. Creon 10000 contains 10,000 PhEur units of lipase, 8,000 of amylase and 600 of protease. Creon 25000 contains 300 mg pancreatin with 25,000 units of lipase, 18,000 of amylase and 1,000 of protease. The US label names its strengths in USP lipase units, from 3,000 to 36,000, so match the system to your tender line.
What is Creon 10000 used for?
The UK SmPC gives one indication for Creon 10000: the treatment of pancreatic exocrine insufficiency. The US label for Creon, as pancrelipase, gives treatment of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency in adult and paediatric patients. The UK SmPC's clinical studies covered patients with cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis or post-surgical conditions, and the prescriber sets the dose.
What is the Creon dosage for adults?
Dosing is by lipase units and is set by the prescriber. The UK SmPC starts with one or two capsules during or immediately after each meal and increases slowly. The US label starts adults with chronic pancreatitis or pancreatectomy at 500 to 1,000 lipase units/kg/meal, with a limit of 2,500 units/kg/meal or 10,000 units/kg/day without further investigation. Follow the label of the version you supply.
Can the capsules be opened, and how should they be taken?
Take Creon with meals. The US label says swallow capsules whole without crushing or chewing, and if needed sprinkle the contents on acidic soft food of pH 4.5 or lower. The UK SmPC allows opening the capsule and taking the granules with acidic fluid or soft food, without chewing, and not stored once mixed. Creon is of porcine origin as the labels state.
Is Creon the same as other pancreatin or pancrelipase products, and is there a generic?
The US label uses the name pancrelipase and the UK SmPCs use pancreatin. The emc also lists other pancreatin products from other companies, such as Norzyme 25,000 (Nordmark Pharma GmbH), Nutrizym 22 (Zentiva) and Pancrex V (Essential Pharmaceuticals Ltd), each with its own SmPC. None of our fetched sources describes any of them as a generic of Creon, and the US label says not to substitute other pancreatic enzyme products for Creon. M Care supplies Creon and Indian-made lines such as Panlipase and Creon (Indian pack), and confirms what a destination accepts per enquiry.
