Revolade (eltrombopag), sold in the US as Promacta, is an oral thrombopoietin receptor agonist for immune thrombocytopenia, thrombocytopenia in chronic hepatitis C and severe aplastic anaemia, supplied as tablets that need no special storage conditions on the UK label.
M Care Exports supplies originator Revolade (eltrombopag), held by Novartis in the EU and UK and sold as Promacta by Novartis in the US, to hospital pharmacies, haematology units, importers and tender desks in the GCC, Africa and the UK. If you are looking for Revolade 25 mg or 50 mg tablets, or another presentation, send the destination, strength and quantity, and we quote per destination.
Eltrombopag exporter and bulk supplier from India.
"We need a partner for Revolade" is a typical enquiry from a hospital haematology pharmacy or a tender desk. M Care is a merchant-exporter: we quote against your specification and confirm which strengths your destination registers. Our own catalogue lists originator Revolade 25 mg and 50 mg tablets, and we can supply other presentations on request. Revolade is a family of strengths, not one line. The UK emc SmPC lists 12.5 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg and 75 mg film-coated tablets, and the EMA page lists a powder for oral suspension as well. Starting doses differ by indication and by patient ancestry, so the strength mix you order depends on the patient group you treat. The quote also turns on the registration route in the destination and Incoterms. The UK SmPC states no special storage conditions for the tablets, and the US label gives room-temperature storage, so cold-chain packing is not the cost driver it is for biologics.

Oral thrombopoietin receptor agonist, sourced and documented for export.
Eltrombopag stimulates thrombopoietin receptors in the bone marrow and so increases platelet production (EMA). The EMA page lists Novartis Europharm Limited as marketing authorisation holder of Revolade, with the marketing authorisation issued on 11 March 2010, and states that Revolade is available as tablets and as a powder for oral suspension. The EU indications are primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) in adults refractory to other treatments, ITP in children aged 1 year and above with disease lasting 6 months or longer and refractory to other treatments, thrombocytopenia in adults with chronic hepatitis C where it limits interferon-based therapy, and acquired severe aplastic anaemia in adults refractory to prior immunosuppressive therapy or heavily pretreated and unsuitable for haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The UK emc SmPC (Novartis Pharmaceuticals UK Limited, updated 24 March 2026) lists the same four indications and 12.5 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg and 75 mg film-coated tablets. The US Promacta label (Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, DailyMed page updated 18 December 2025) lists 12.5, 25, 50 and 75 mg tablets and 12.5 mg and 25 mg packets of powder for oral suspension. Its indications are persistent or chronic ITP in adults and paediatric patients 1 year and older with an insufficient response to corticosteroids, immunoglobulins or splenectomy; thrombocytopenia in chronic hepatitis C to allow interferon-based therapy; first-line severe aplastic anaemia with standard immunosuppressive therapy in patients 2 years and older; and severe aplastic anaemia with an insufficient response to immunosuppressive therapy. The US label states it is not indicated for myelodysplastic syndromes.

Hospital pharmacies, licensed importers and tender desks across our export markets.
India is our origin. We do not sell into the Indian market.
Buyers are hospital haematology pharmacists, MoH and hospital tender desks, and licensed importers and distributors in the GCC, Africa and the UK. Typical enquiries read "I'm looking for Revolade 50 mg tablets for a haematology unit" or "We need a partner for eltrombopag for a tender". Each destination has its own route, for example the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) in the UAE, NAFDAC in Nigeria and the MHRA in the UK. The EMA states that treatment should be started and supervised by a doctor experienced in treating blood diseases or chronic hepatitis C. Whether a destination has registered the product or needs a named-patient or unlicensed import depends on the regulator, and M Care Exports confirms the route per enquiry.
GCC registration routes
Supply against MoH registration held by your local licensed importer, or via the GCC central registration pathway.
UK unlicensed routes
Where no UK licence exists, the MHRA Specials and named-patient import routes cover clinically justified demand.
Tender desks
Bid-pack documentation assembled to the tender's specification, from CoPP to batch records.
Dossier support
CTD documentation from the sourcing manufacturer, compiled for your regulator's format.
What the dispensing pharmacist checks on eltrombopag.
Four points matter at the dispensing desk. First, liver safety: the US label carries a boxed warning on hepatic decompensation when eltrombopag is used with interferon and ribavirin in chronic hepatitis C, and on hepatotoxicity. For ITP, hepatitis C thrombocytopenia and refractory aplastic anaemia, ALT, AST and bilirubin are checked before the first dose, every 2 weeks during dose adjustment and monthly once the dose is stable; first-line aplastic anaemia has its own schedule in the label. Second, spacing: the UK SmPC says take the tablets at least 2 hours before or 4 hours after products containing polyvalent cations, including antacids, dairy products and mineral supplements; the US label gives the same 2 and 4 hour spacing. Third, ancestry: for ITP the UK and US labels start patients of East-/Southeast-Asian ancestry at 25 mg once daily instead of 50 mg, and both labels also call for a reduced aplastic anaemia start dose in these patients, while the hepatitis C start dose is not reduced. Fourth, the oral suspension is a separate product: the UK SmPC notes it can give higher exposure than the tablet, and the US reconstituted suspension must be given immediately and discarded after 30 minutes.
The documentation pack a regulator actually asks for.
Eltrombopag tablets are an ambient-temperature product on the texts we read. The UK emc SmPC gives a 3 year shelf life and states that the tablets need no special storage conditions, in aluminium blisters of 14 or 28 tablets and a multipack of 84, with not all pack sizes marketed. The US label gives 20 to 25 °C for tablets and suspension packets, with excursions from 15 to 30 °C, and tablets are dispensed in the original bottle. Other eltrombopag products are regulator-listed and are distinct products. The EMA lists Eltrombopag Accord (Accord Healthcare S.L.U., authorised 28 March 2025) as a generic whose reference medicine is Revolade. The UK emc lists Eltrombopag 50 mg film-coated tablets from MSN Laboratories Europe Ltd. DailyMed lists Teva's Alvaiz and many generic eltrombopag labels beside Promacta. M Care documentation covers batch certificates of analysis, export documents and destination-aligned dossier support where the regulator asks for it. We state the source and status of each line before quoting, and make no manufacturing or WHO claim for M Care itself.

Eltrombopag supply, the specific questions.
What decides the landed price of Revolade 50 mg for an importer in the UAE?
We do not publish prices. The landed cost depends on whether you want originator Revolade or a regulator-listed eltrombopag generic, the strength (25 mg or 50 mg, or another), the pack and quantity, the registration route in your destination and Incoterms. UAE product registration sits with the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE), so we confirm what your import route accepts before we quote. The tablets need no special storage conditions in the UK SmPC, so freight is simpler than for refrigerated products. M Care Exports quotes per destination once we have the strength, pack and quantity.
What are Revolade uses, and what is it licensed for?
In the EU and UK, Revolade is licensed for primary immune thrombocytopenia in adults refractory to other treatments, ITP in children aged 1 year and above with disease lasting 6 months or longer and refractory to other treatments, thrombocytopenia in adults with chronic hepatitis C that limits interferon-based therapy, and acquired severe aplastic anaemia in adults who are refractory to prior immunosuppressive therapy or heavily pretreated and unsuitable for stem cell transplantation. The US Promacta label words these as persistent or chronic ITP, hepatitis C thrombocytopenia, and severe aplastic anaemia first-line and refractory. Indications vary by destination labelling, so confirm the local text.
What are the Revolade side effects?
The EMA page names liver problems and thromboembolic complications (blood clots) as the most important serious side effects in adults with ITP and in patients with hepatitis C. The US Promacta label carries a boxed warning on hepatic decompensation in chronic hepatitis C patients treated with interferon and ribavirin, and on hepatotoxicity, with ALT, AST and bilirubin monitoring before treatment, every 2 weeks during dose adjustment and monthly after (for ITP, hepatitis C thrombocytopenia and refractory aplastic anaemia). Prescribers decide on use, and the full list is in the destination's approved leaflet.
I'm looking for Revolade 25 mg and Revolade 50 mg tablets. Which strengths and presentations exist?
The UK emc SmPC lists Revolade film-coated tablets of 12.5 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg and 75 mg, in blisters of 14 or 28 tablets and an 84-tablet multipack, with not all pack sizes marketed. The US Promacta label lists the same four tablet strengths and 12.5 mg and 25 mg packets of powder for oral suspension. M Care's catalogue lists originator Revolade 25 mg and 50 mg tablets, and we can supply other presentations on request. Send the destination, strength and quantity and we confirm what we can quote.
Is there a generic of Revolade, and what is the generic name?
The generic (non-proprietary) name is eltrombopag. The EMA lists Eltrombopag Accord as a generic with Revolade as the reference medicine, the UK emc lists Eltrombopag 50 mg film-coated tablets from MSN Laboratories Europe Ltd, and DailyMed lists generic eltrombopag labels from several US labellers alongside Promacta. DailyMed also lists Alvaiz from Teva as a separate brand, and its own label governs its use. These are distinct products, not Revolade. M Care Exports confirms the line and availability for your destination.
How is Revolade taken, and what does the label say about dose spacing and ancestry?
The UK SmPC says the tablets should be taken at least 2 hours before or 4 hours after any product containing polyvalent cations, such as antacids, dairy products and mineral supplements. For ITP and aplastic anaemia, the UK SmPC starts patients of East-/Southeast-Asian ancestry at 25 mg once daily instead of 50 mg, and no adjustment is needed for hepatitis C patients of that ancestry. The US label gives a reduced start dose of 25 mg for ITP in these patients, also calls for a reduced aplastic anaemia start dose, and gives the same 2 and 4 hour spacing. Storage is 20 to 25 °C on the US label, and the UK SmPC requires no special conditions. Always follow the label of your destination.
