For treating cancer of ovaries and a type of cancer of the bone marrow called multiple myeloma is used by Melphalan 50mg Injection Alkacel 50. Melphalan, sold under the trademark Alkeran among others, is a chemotherapy medicine used to treat various myeloma, ovarian disease, melanoma, and AL amyloidosis. It is taken as a tablet (by mouth) or by infusion into a vein.

The most common side effects of Melphalan 50mg Injection Alkacel 50 include nausea, vomiting, anemia (low number of red blood cells), and hair loss.
