What is the use of Melphalan 50mg Injection Alkacel 50?

For treating cancer of ovaries and a type of cancer of the bone marrow called multiple myeloma is used by Melphalan 50mg Injection Alkacel 50. Melphalan, sold under the trademark Alkeran among others, is a chemotherapy medicine used to treat various myeloma, ovarian disease, melanoma, and AL amyloidosis. It is taken as a tablet (by mouth) or by infusion into a vein.

The most common side effects of Melphalan 50mg Injection Alkacel 50 include nausea, vomiting, anemia (low number of red blood cells), and hair loss. More uncommon results include Extreme hypersensitive reactions Pneumonic fibrosis (scarring of lung tissue) including deadly results (generally just delayed use) Balding, Interstitial pneumonitis, Rash, Tingling Irreversible bone marrow disappointment because of melphalan not being removed early enough, Heart failure.
