Naprosyn (naproxen), also supplied as FDA- and MHRA-licensed generic naproxen and naproxen sodium tablets, is licensed for arthritis, acute gout, acute musculoskeletal pain and dysmenorrhoea, with a 12 to 17 hour half-life that supports twice-daily dosing in place of the three- or four-times-daily regimen common to shorter-acting NSAIDs.
M Care Exports supplies Naprosyn (naproxen), a propionic acid NSAID, alongside FDA- and MHRA-licensed generic naproxen and naproxen sodium tablets. Naproxen's plasma half-life of 12 to 17 hours is longer than shorter-acting NSAIDs, supporting twice-daily rather than three- or four-times-daily dosing, a distinction hospital formularies weigh when choosing an NSAID line. M Care is a merchant exporter: we source Naprosyn/Anaprox and generic naproxen through licensed Indian distribution and manufacturing channels and dispatch on quote, not from our own manufacturing.
Naproxen exporter and bulk supplier from India.
For hospital rheumatology, orthopaedic and pain-management pharmacy orders, wholesaler stock and MoH tender-desk lots, M Care quotes naproxen against buyer specification: brand (Naprosyn/Anaprox) or generic, standard or gastro-resistant (enteric-coated) tablet, naproxen base or naproxen sodium salt, strength mix and destination-market regulatory documentation, drawn from licensed WHO-GMP manufacturer lines on the M Care roster. Because acute-gout dosing opens with a 750mg loading dose rather than the twice-daily maintenance regimen used for arthritis, we confirm the buyer's intended indication mix before dispatch, then align CTD/eCTD or country-specific dossier paperwork to the destination regulator's requirements.

Propionic acid derivative non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID); non-selective COX-1/COX-2 inhibitor, sourced and documented for export.
Naproxen is a propionic acid derivative NSAID, a non-selective inhibitor of cyclo-oxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) that reduces prostaglandin synthesis to relieve pain, inflammation and fever. Its plasma half-life of 12 to 17 hours is markedly longer than shorter-acting NSAIDs, supporting twice-daily rather than three- or four-times-daily dosing, a practical distinction for hospital and tender formularies choosing between NSAID lines. The FDA label's core indications are rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis, with Naprosyn and Anaprox DS additionally licensed for tendonitis, bursitis, acute gout, general pain management and primary dysmenorrhoea; the UK SmPC for Naprosyn 500mg covers rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthrosis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout, acute musculoskeletal disorders and dysmenorrhoea. It is an oral-only therapy needing no reconstitution. Naprosyn is supplied as a 500mg standard tablet, 375mg and 500mg gastro-resistant (enteric-coated) tablets, and naproxen sodium equivalents including the 550mg Anaprox DS strength.

Hospital pharmacies, licensed importers and tender desks across our export markets.
India is our origin. We do not sell into the Indian market.
Buyers for naproxen are hospital rheumatology and orthopaedic pharmacies running an arthritis and acute-gout formulary line, pain-management and gynaecology services stocking a dysmenorrhoea option, national and regional MoH tender desks running analgesic and NSAID procurement lists, licensed pharmaceutical wholesalers and importers, and retail pharmacy chains across our GCC and African markets stocking naproxen sodium as an over-the-counter or pharmacist-supervised analgesic where local scheduling permits.
GCC registration routes
Supply against MoH registration held by your local licensed importer, or via the GCC central registration pathway.
UK unlicensed routes
Where no UK licence exists, the MHRA Specials and named-patient import routes cover clinically justified demand.
Tender desks
Bid-pack documentation assembled to the tender's specification, from CoPP to batch records.
Dossier support
CTD documentation from the sourcing manufacturer, compiled for your regulator's format.
What the dispensing pharmacist checks on naproxen.
Arthritis dosing runs 250-500mg twice daily (naproxen base) or 275-550mg twice daily (naproxen sodium), capped around 1000-1500mg/day for limited periods; acute gout instead opens with a 750mg loading dose followed by 250mg every eight hours until symptoms settle, a distinctly front-loaded regimen worth flagging at dispensing. The gastro-resistant (EC) tablet is not interchangeable mid-course with the standard tablet without confirming the prescriber intended the slower, delayed-release onset. Naproxen carries the same NSAID-class cardiovascular thrombotic and gastrointestinal bleeding, ulceration and perforation warnings as other propionic-acid agents, and US labelling adds an explicit contraindication in the peri-operative setting of coronary artery bypass graft surgery. Avoid use from 30 weeks of pregnancy onward because of the risk of premature closure of the foetal ductus arteriosus, and use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration earlier in pregnancy, monitoring for oligohydramnios if treatment runs beyond 48 hours. Cross-sensitivity with aspirin and other NSAIDs means a documented aspirin-exacerbated respiratory reaction should stop dispensing at the counter. No reconstitution and no cold chain are required; all tablet forms store at controlled room temperature, protected from light in the original blister.
The documentation pack a regulator actually asks for.
As an oral solid dosage form, naproxen travels on standard ambient-temperature logistics rather than the validated cold-chain lanes M Care runs for biologics; the UK SmPC for Naprosyn 500mg specifies storage below 30 degrees C with the blister kept in its outer carton to protect from light, and a five-year shelf life, while the gastro-resistant Naprosyn EC 500mg carries a three-year shelf life under the same storage conditions. What buyers need is batch-level certificate of analysis, CDSCO export documentation and, where the destination market requires it, CTD or eCTD-format dossier support so the buyer's own regulator can register the product. On the brand-versus-generic question, Naprosyn remains the originator line internationally, with Anaprox DS the equivalent naproxen sodium brand; FDA- and MHRA-approved generic naproxen and naproxen sodium tablets from multiple manufacturers are separately registered and marketed in both the US and UK. Buyers genuinely have a brand-or-generic choice on formulary; M Care quotes either against the tender specification and destination-market registration status. Naproxen is not a controlled substance in the markets we currently review.
Permit sequence, registration status and customs handling are documented in importing medicines from India through the licensed route; this page sticks to what is specific to the molecule.

Naproxen supply, the specific questions.
Does a generic version of Naprosyn exist?
Yes. FDA-approved generic naproxen and naproxen sodium tablets from multiple manufacturers are registered and marketed in the US, alongside the originator Naprosyn/Anaprox line. Licensed generic naproxen tablets are also available in the UK alongside Naprosyn. Registration status varies by destination country, so M Care checks local approval before quoting brand or generic against a specific tender.
What is naproxen licensed to treat?
US labelling covers rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis, plus, for Naprosyn and Anaprox DS, tendonitis, bursitis, acute gout, pain management and primary dysmenorrhoea. UK labelling for Naprosyn 500mg is closely aligned: rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthrosis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout, acute musculoskeletal disorders and dysmenorrhoea. Check destination-country labelling before a tender submission.
What strengths and forms of naproxen does M Care supply?
A 500mg standard Naprosyn tablet, 375mg and 500mg gastro-resistant (enteric-coated) tablets, and naproxen sodium equivalents including the 550mg Anaprox DS strength. Tell us your buyer mix, hospital, retail or tender, and we quote the strength and pack format accordingly.
Is naproxen safe to use in later pregnancy?
No, not from 30 weeks onward, because of the risk of premature closure of the foetal ductus arteriosus and neonatal renal impairment. Earlier in pregnancy, labelling calls for the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration, with monitoring for oligohydramnios if treatment runs beyond 48 hours. This is standard NSAID-class guidance, not unique to naproxen, and should be reflected in destination-market patient information leaflets.
What is the difference between standard Naprosyn and Naprosyn EC (gastro-resistant) tablets?
The gastro-resistant (enteric-coated) tablet is designed not to disintegrate until it reaches the small intestine, giving a slower, delayed onset than the standard tablet, per the UK SmPC for Naprosyn EC 500mg. The two forms are not interchangeable mid-course without confirming the prescriber intended the delayed-release profile. M Care quotes either form to buyer specification.
What documentation does M Care provide with a naproxen shipment?
Batch-level certificate of analysis, CDSCO export documentation from the Indian side, and CTD/eCTD-aligned dossier support where the destination regulator requires local registration before import, along with confirmation of which brand or generic product a shipment contains.
