Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic given as an oral tablet, in 12.5 mg, 25 mg and 50 mg strengths on the US label, for hypertension and for oedema, and it needs no cold chain.
M Care Exports supplies hydrochlorothiazide tablets to hospital pharmacies, MoH and hospital tender desks, and licensed importers and distributors in the GCC, Africa and the UK. If you are looking for the 12.5 mg or 25 mg tablet, send the destination, the strength and the quantity, and we quote per destination from regulator-registered products and Indian-made lines.
Hydrochlorothiazide exporter and bulk supplier from India.
"We need a partner for hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg and 25 mg" is a typical enquiry from a hospital pharmacy or a tender desk. M Care is a merchant-exporter: we quote against your specification and confirm which lines your destination accepts. We supply both regulator-registered products and Indian-made lines. Our catalogue includes Indian-made tablets such as Aquazide, Hydrazide and Hydride, each in 12.5 mg and 25 mg. We do not claim any of these is registered in a given destination. Hydrochlorothiazide is a plain oral tablet stored at room temperature, so the quote turns on strength, pack size, quantity, the registration route in the destination and Incoterms rather than on cold chain.

Thiazide diuretic, sourced and documented for export.
Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic. The US label on DailyMed lists tablets of 12.5 mg, 25 mg and 50 mg. It indicates the tablets as adjunctive therapy in oedema associated with congestive heart failure, hepatic cirrhosis, and corticosteroid and oestrogen therapy, and in the management of hypertension, either alone or to enhance the effect of other antihypertensive drugs. The label adds that hydrochlorothiazide has been found useful in oedema due to renal dysfunction such as nephrotic syndrome, acute glomerulonephritis and chronic renal failure. For hypertension the label starts adults at 25 mg daily, with an increase to 50 mg daily possible, and notes that doses above 50 mg are often associated with marked reductions in serum potassium. Storage is 20 to 25 °C. The label's warnings and precautions include fluid and electrolyte imbalance, acute myopia and secondary angle-closure glaucoma, and non-melanoma skin cancer, with advice on sun protection and regular skin cancer screening. Fixed-dose combinations with ARBs or ACE inhibitors are separate products with their own labels.

Hospital pharmacies, licensed importers and tender desks across our export markets.
India is our origin. We do not sell into the Indian market.
Buyers are hospital pharmacists, MoH and hospital tender desks, and licensed importers and distributors in the GCC, Africa and the UK. Typical enquiries read "I'm looking for hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg tablets for a tender" or "We need a partner for hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg". Each destination has its own registration or import route, for example the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) in the UAE, NAFDAC in Nigeria and the MHRA in the UK, and we align the offer with it before quoting. In the UK, our search of the emc (electronic medicines compendium) for hydrochlorothiazide tablets returned only combination products, so the route for a single-ingredient tablet depends on what the buyer holds, and M Care Exports confirms it per enquiry.
GCC registration routes
Supply against MoH registration held by your local licensed importer, or via the GCC central registration pathway.
UK unlicensed routes
Where no UK licence exists, the MHRA Specials and named-patient import routes cover clinically justified demand.
Tender desks
Bid-pack documentation assembled to the tender's specification, from CoPP to batch records.
Dossier support
CTD documentation from the sourcing manufacturer, compiled for your regulator's format.
What the dispensing pharmacist checks on hydrochlorothiazide.
Plan the pack list by strength, because the label uses 12.5 mg, 25 mg and 50 mg tablets and asks that therapy is individualised to patient response. The US label starts adults with hypertension at 25 mg daily and allows 50 mg daily, and notes that doses above 50 mg are often associated with marked reductions in serum potassium. A hospital ward and an outpatient programme may order different strengths, so confirm the strength against the prescriber's specification. Monitoring is by electrolytes: the label asks that all patients on diuretic therapy are observed for fluid or electrolyte imbalance. Two warnings matter for dispensing advice. The label warns of acute myopia and angle-closure glaucoma, typically within hours to weeks of starting, with stopping the drug as rapidly as possible as the primary treatment. It also tells prescribers to instruct patients to protect their skin from the sun and to have regular skin cancer screening. The MHRA Drug Safety Update of 14 November 2018 reports a dose-dependent increase in non-melanoma skin cancer risk with increasing cumulative doses. Storage is 20 to 25 °C, with no cold chain.
The documentation pack a regulator actually asks for.
Hydrochlorothiazide tablets are an ambient-storage oral product. The US label states storage at 20 to 25 °C. Export consignments are packed for ambient transit and labelled to the destination's requirements. M Care documentation covers batch certificates of analysis, export documents and destination-aligned dossier support where the regulator asks for it. Indian-made lines come from Indian manufacturers, and we confirm each manufacturer's GMP status per line; we do not claim WHO-GMP or WHO prequalification for M Care Exports itself. We state the source and registration status of each line before quoting, and make no claim that an Indian-made brand is registered in a destination unless the regulator's own record shows it.

Batch-specific certificate and method of analysis from the sourcing manufacturer's QC release.

Hydrochlorothiazide supply, the specific questions.
I'm looking for hydrochlorothiazide brands in UAE. Which are registered?
Product registration in the UAE sits with the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE), whose remit covers drug approval and registration. We do not publish a list of UAE-registered brand names on this page. M Care Exports confirms the registered brand, or the accepted route, for each UAE enquiry. M Care supplies both regulator-registered products and Indian-made lines such as Aquazide, Hydrazide and Hydride, and we say which applies before we quote.
Which hydrochlorothiazide strengths do you supply, 12.5 mg and 25 mg?
The US label on DailyMed lists 12.5 mg, 25 mg and 50 mg tablets. Our Indian-made catalogue lines are 12.5 mg and 25 mg tablets, for example Aquazide, Hydrazide and Hydride in both strengths. Send the strength, pack size and destination, and M Care Exports confirms what your registration route accepts and quotes per destination.
What is hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg used for?
The US label lists the management of hypertension, alone or with other antihypertensive drugs, and adjunctive therapy in oedema associated with congestive heart failure, hepatic cirrhosis, and corticosteroid and oestrogen therapy. It adds that the drug has been found useful in oedema due to renal dysfunction such as nephrotic syndrome. The label starts adults with hypertension at 25 mg daily and asks that therapy is individualised, so a 12.5 mg tablet is a lower-strength option to confirm against the destination's own labelling. Prescribing decisions belong with the clinician.
What are the side effects of hydrochlorothiazide, and what should a pharmacy warn about?
The US label asks that patients on diuretic therapy are observed for fluid or electrolyte imbalance. It also warns of acute myopia and angle-closure glaucoma, for which the primary treatment is stopping the drug as rapidly as possible, and tells prescribers to instruct patients to protect their skin from the sun and have regular skin cancer screening for non-melanoma skin cancer. The MHRA Drug Safety Update of 14 November 2018 reports a dose-dependent risk that rises with cumulative exposure. Photosensitivity appears among the label's hypersensitivity reactions.
We heard hydrochlorothiazide and chlorthalidone are the same. Are they?
No. They are different diuretics, each with its own label, dose, presentations and warnings. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide, and DailyMed labels describe chlorthalidone as a monosulfamyl diuretic that differs chemically from the thiazide diuretics. Both US labels list hypertension and oedema among their indications. The hydrochlorothiazide label lists 12.5 mg, 25 mg and 50 mg tablets, and the chlorthalidone label we checked lists 25 mg and 50 mg tablets. We do not recommend one over the other. We quote the product your prescribers specify.
What sets the landed price of hydrochlorothiazide tablets for an importer?
Several factors set it: whether the line is a regulator-registered product or an Indian-made line, the strength and pack size, the quantity, the registration route in the destination, and the Incoterms. There is no cold chain for this tablet, which removes one cost. Fixed-dose combinations with ARBs or ACE inhibitors are separate products and are quoted separately. M Care Exports quotes per destination after you send the specification, and we do not publish prices.
